'Junioshow' Difference in Export

The Junioshow Bursa International Baby, Children's Ready-to-Wear & Children's Needs Fair, organized by the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO) in collaboration with the Global Fair Agency (KFA), BEKSİAD, UTİB, and UHKİB, has come to an end. The fair welcomed over 1,000 foreign buyers from more than 50 countries over 3 days. With the participation of thousands of visitors from the domestic market, the fair contributed to the sector's foreign trade volume.

Among the most significant gatherings in the baby and children's clothing sector in Turkey, the Junioshow Fair hosted its visitors from November 14th to 16th. At the fair held at the Bursa International Fair Center, more than 70 companies from 50 countries presented their collections that will set the trends for baby and children's clothing in 2024-2025.

The Fair Hosted Business Professionals from Approximately 50 Countries

As part of BTSO's Commercial Safari Project and KFA Fairs's efforts, procurement officers from globally renowned brands also met with companies at the fair. In addition to foreign buying delegations, the fair, which also hosted hundreds of domestic visitors, brought together the sector under one roof. With the support of the Ministry of Trade within the scope of the UR-GE Project for the Baby and Children's Clothing Sector, companies also signed new agreements with numerous foreign business people through the B2B organization held at the fair.

The Fair Breathed New Life into the Sector

Ismail Kuş, Vice President of the Board of Directors of BTSO, stated that the Junioshow Fair, which leads the way for the baby and children's clothing sector to open up to the world, provided significant strength to the companies. Ismail Kuş mentioned that qualified buyers from different parts of the world visited Junioshow and said, "Despite challenging economic times, we brought together more than 1,000 buyers with our companies in Bursa. We organized a beautiful event that allowed our sector to breathe in difficult times. Especially, we brought together qualified customer portfolios from Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Russia with our companies in our city. Hopefully, we aim to host even more customers and buyers in Bursa in the future."

Stock Costs Will Decrease

Ismail Kuş, reminding that the fair met with its visitors with its new date and new concept, continued: "Starting from the year 2024, the fair will be held only once a year, and our companies will exhibit their summer and winter collections. With the new date of the fair, our companies will be able to complete their products on time and reach their customers directly without much stock cost by receiving orders directly. Through the fair, our companies will continue to increase their exports in the coming period."

"New Concept and New Date Gave Hope and Excitement to the Sector"

Ömer Yıldız, President of BEKSİAD, said that the fair increased hope and excitement for the future of the sector. Yıldız stated that new brands and new faces visited the fair, saying, "Bursa has an important place in the baby and children's clothing sector. We try to sell a large part of our production directly to our customers with our own labels and designs. Our export journey, which started with BTSO 8 years ago, has reached an important point. We introduce our products to qualified buyers through fairs. Despite the situation the world is in, we are working tirelessly for exports. Our President İbrahim Burkay is a visionary person. I believe that KFA Fairs will achieve even more successful results in the future."

"We Spoke with Buyers from All Over the World"

Serkan Çetintaş, owner of Bebekevi textile company, said they participated in the Junioshow Fair from the first day. Mentioning that he encountered many new customers at the fair, Çetintaş said, "We spoke with customers from all over the world. There was a very diverse customer population from Africa to Europe, from Asia to the Balkans. This situation impressed us a lot. Correct choices have been made. Our companies can achieve significant gains from this fair through bilateral business meetings. Our President İbrahim Burkay has a very broad vision. I would like to thank our President and everyone involved in this organization."

"Fairs Are Valuable for the Livelihood of the Sector"

Participant Sedat Şengül said they entered a new era with new booths, stating, "The fair was very productive. The number of foreign participants was satisfactory. We saw visitors from countries we had not seen before this year. I find fairs very valuable for the livelihood of the sector. Such organizations contribute not only to fair participants but also to all stakeholders of the sector."

"We Will Sign Contracts After Returning to Moscow"

Foreign buyers who attended the fair stated that the organization raised the bar higher each passing year. Anna Grıgorova, a representative of the Ozon company from Russia, who attended the fair for the first time, said, "We had serious negotiations. After returning to Moscow, we will contact the companies again and enter into cooperation with them. We are very satisfied with the Turkish product quality and model variety. I had the opportunity to see many models that I had not seen before at this fair. I think the future of the fair is very bright."

"The First Fruits of the Signed Contracts Was Junioshow"

Mohammed Elsalam, Chairman of the Clothing and Home Textile Chamber of Commerce of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, recalled that about 20 days ago, a delegation consisting of the Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat from Turkey and businessmen visited Egypt. Elsalam, stating that BTSO President İbrahim Burkay was also in the delegation, said, "We signed a protocol with him there. Relations between Turkey and Egypt have begun to return to normal as they should be. I believe that these agreements will be auspicious for both countries. Egyptian companies are also participating in Junioshow. Turkish companies will also participate in the organization to be held in Egypt in January. Junioshow was the first fruit of the agreements made. I liked the new organization and product variety of the fair very much. I had the opportunity to have meetings with many visitors. I also received comments from them that the fair went very well and they liked it. As two countries with the same culture, organizing such an event makes me proud. I think Junioshow will be taken much further over time."

"We Had a Fair Where We Found What We Were Looking For"

Baaba Baidoo Otoo, the owner of a company from Ghana attending the fair for the first time, stated that Turkish companies' products were of very high quality, saying, "I had the opportunity to visit many stands. All the products were interesting. In the fairs I attended before, I encountered non-textile sectoral products. It was difficult for me to find what I was looking for because I do business in the textile sector. However, Junioshow was a wonderful opportunity for my company. We had a productive fair focused solely on textiles where we found what we were looking for."
